Karie Kennedy Roeseler
March 7,1961 – August 23,2025
Karie Kennedy Roeseler, Our beautiful beloved mother, grandmother, and best friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by her Family in her home in Syracuse ,Utah on August 23,2025 at the age of 64.
She was Born on March 7, 1961 in Ogden, to Blair and Julie Kennedy. She grew up in Washington Terrace and attended Bonneville High School where she discovered her love for gymnastics, cheer, softball and volleyball. She graduated in 1979. She met her love, Mark Ketcham and they were married in 1981. They became parents of one daughter (Kira) and one son (Mitch), they later divorced. Karie lived a life rooted in love, strength, and generosity. She dedicated 25 years of service to Horizon Credit Union as a Collection Manager, where she was admired for her dedication, integrity, and leadership.
Karie loved her friendships and always put others before herself making sure to have a listen ear or a shoulder to cry on. Karie found joy in the simple and beautiful parts of life. She had a knack of making everything she touched beautiful. She loved tending to her garden, golf, crafting and cooking, which everyone loved. Her greatest pride and joy, however, was her family. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who never stopped giving her all to the people she loved most. Her legacy of kindness, selflessness, and unwavering support will live on in the hearts of her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, Kira L. Ketcham (Chad), her son Mitchell K. Ketcham (Merinda) and her five cherished grandchildren: Bridger (Kira), Madisyn, Bryton, Kye, and Blayke (Mitchell). Her mother Juile and 2 brothers Kelly(Ray) , Kepper, and Sister Kauleen.
Karie was preceded in death by her father, Blair P. Kennedy, and her niece, Amber Stein Kennedy.
A celebration of Karie’s life will be held on September 6th at the Ogden Botanical Gardens from 5pm-930pm where family and friends are invited to gather and honor her memory in the natural beauty she so deeply loved.
