It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved brother Justin Bennett. He tragically passed away after celebrating the 4th of July weekend with his family. Justin, born to Cyndie and DeWayne Bennett in Salt Lake City was a twin and the third of five children. In his youth, Justin excelled in sports. He was an athlete on the Utah Youth Baseball Team and played in the Little League World Series. He also played little league football for the Viewmont Vikings. His love for football continued and he played for Viewmont High School, where he lettered and graduated in the class of 1997.

Justin spent most of his life in Davis County while traveling to work in the oilfield. Before his passing, he excelled at his job with Creminelli Fine Meats. He took pride in his work whether at his job or while fixing up his West Bountiful home. Justin cherished the time spent with his family and close friends. Justin was the life of the party. You could always count on him to bring the shrimp. Everyone that knew him knows how big of a heart he had and how much he treasured his loved ones. He had a love for animals and leaves behind his two pit bulls Blue and Razkel. Justin had an affinity for the outdoors. He spent his free time in the winter snowboarding and snowmobiling. He loved the Sand Dunes in Utah, and Saint Anthony’s Idaho. Many of us will never forget his riding skills and the fun times we shared on the sand. He enjoyed fishing and being up in the mountains. Justin liked to travel specifically to Mexico where he was the first to get up and walk the beach or go exploring. We are going to miss you Bizz and your warm hugs.

Justin is survived by his Mother Cyndie Bennett (Jeff Tye) and Father DeWayne Bennett (Jackie Bowman); His eldest brother Jamie Bennett, twin brother Jayson Bennett (Ginger), youngest brother McKay Bennett (Shea), and little sister Megan Bennett (Christian Chaney). He is also survived by some of the greatest joys in his life. His 6 nieces; Madison, Baysil, Sayge, Charlee, Andee, Kennedy, and 2 nephews Taylor and Kru.

In lieu of flowers, we ask that you share a memory and any pictures on Justin’s Facebook page. A celebration of life will be announced later on.

I am so sorry to hear of Justin’s passing. He was a wonderful 1st and 4th grade student in my classes at Reading Elementary. I will always remember his love of life, his determination to do well in school and his quick sense of humor. My thoughts and prayers go to Justin’s family whom I have had the privilege of working with during their elementary school years in Centerville at Reading Elementary. I will never forget Justin riding up on a small 4 wheel vehical to the school before his first grade started. I was moving into the school through a side door of the classroom and he introduced himself and said that he was going to be in my class. He always had that welcoming spirit about him. I pray for peace and comfort at this time.

I remember the day the twins were born. DeWayne was in such shock to have twins he ready to sell his truck and camper😊. The twins were such good babies. Our kids grew up together and has so much fun. Unfortunately, we lost track of each other as the kids got older. I’m so sorry to hear about the passing of Justin. Jayson, you must be so devastated, I’m sorry. My love to all you kids and your families. Love to your parents as well. Susie
