Our beautiful mom, Joyce Ann Hardee Newbold passed away at Vicki’s home in Herriman, Utah on July 1, 2020. She was born in Price, Utah on November 2, 1932. She was a coal miner’s daughter. Her parents were Welber Hardee and Edna Reese. She married the love of her life, Boyd A. Newbold, the boy next door, June 26, 1953.Together they raised 6 children, Vicki, Shellie, Mark, Krissie, Patti, and Kory. She is preceded in death by Mark, Shellie, and Krissie, her sisters Gwen Coleman, Elaine Johnson, and Dorothy Vlamakis. She is survived by her husband Boyd, children Kory Newbold, Patti Newbold, and Vicki Buttars (Clint), ten grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. She spent her life raising her children and grandchildren. Her love and passion was serving her family. She loved to go to Wendover and play the slot machines. She enjoyed fishing and camping with her family. She lived in Castle Gate, Utah as a child. She spent her married years in West Valley City, Utah. We love you mom. Your example of endurance and love will continue through generations.
A staggered viewing will take place on July 7, 2020 at 10:00 AM at Memorial Redwood Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, UT, 84123 with a funeral to follow at 11:00 AM. Due to the pandemic, social gatherings are limited to 50 people and masks are mandatory. Social distancing measures will be enforced. As only 50 people can be gathered for the funeral, we please ask that Joyce’s immediate family have priority in attendance.

My mom was the best. Very unselfish and always worried about everyone else. She knew all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren's birthday's and she never forgot any of them on their special day. My life will never be the same again. Miss you like crazy. You were gold to me
