Joseph B. Jensen, 89, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Monday morning, the 27th of September. Joseph, or Joe B., was born March 8th, 1932, to Burt and Iona Jensen.

He married Nedra Lee Forbush on June 30th, 1956, and had five amazing children.

He spent his life helping others. Whether it was from his 30 years of teaching, killing mosquitoes with the mosquito abatement, or serving on numerous bank boards. Joe was a United States Airforce Veteran where he was an Airforce officer for 4 years during the Korean Conflict.

Joe was full of jokes and fun. He was humorous without even trying. He loved to tease any and everyone he could. If you ever wanted to know how he was feeling, he would say “with my hands.” If you ever had a fresh orange scent coming from your shoes, just know he kindly put orange peels in them to help with the smell.

If you lived around Bountiful, we can only imagine that you saw Joe B. walking around 200 West. Every morning after breakfast, Joe would take his daily walk. It did not matter how old he got, he could still out walk any youngster. Staying caught up with him was hard work.

Joe B. loved to tinker. He built his own sheds and did most of his home renovations. He loved making his grandchildren wooden name plates and bug catchers. Joe knew how to save, though. If a piece of wood had an old, bent nail in it, he saved it.

Joe It's time to get up, it's time to get up in the morning! is survived by his wife, Nedra. His brother, Ronald (Kaye). Children: Jody, Lisa, Brad (Daniel), Brent (Marsha), and Lauren (Eston). His grandchildren: Shannon (Anna), Jennifer (Curtis), Derek (Anni), Brandie, Tyler, Bryce (Molly), Kim (Tori), Heather, and Brittany. And his 14 wonderful great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents Burt and Iona. His sisters Geneal and Donna Vee. His sons-in-law Terry and Bryce. And his grandson Shane.

An outdoor service will be held at Lakeview Cemetery, Saturday, October 2nd at 1:00 p.m. A viewing will be held Saturday, October 2nd, at 12:00 p.m. at Memorial Lake View Mortuary (1640 East Lakeview Drive, Bountiful, Utah).

It is incredibly easy to say that Joseph Jensen was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and son. He will be deeply missed by his family and those who knew him.
