Jon Blaine Palmer, 85, died January 22, 2024, in his room at Cottage Glen Assisted Living in Tooele, Utah. Jon was surrounded by family and love until his last breath.

He was born on November 19, 1938, in Taylor, Arizona to Fernith Fillerup and Otto Wayne Palmer. Jon grew up in Taylor with his brothers, Monte and Kay (Blackie) and attended Taylor Elementary school and Snowflake High School. He joined the Navy when he was 17 and spent the next 18 years in the US Navy on Active Duty. He also served another 20 years in Civil Service. Jon was very proud of his military service and was passionate about his love and respect for his country.

During this time, he was married to Elizabeth Pearson (later divorced) and had 4 children. Jon Blaine, Jr., April Kayrene, Michael Scott, and Anita Kathleen. Jon married his wife, Blanca Rosa Lopez, on April 13, 1996. They were sealed in the Snowflake Arizona Temple in 2002.

Jon loved his family and his religion. He was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served in multiple callings. He was looking forward to serving in the new Tooele Valley Temple.

He was able to have a wonderful reunion in heaven with his parents and brothers who proceeded him in death. Jon is survived by his wife, Blanca, children: Jon (Karen), April (Glen Joyce), Mike (Lyhn), and Anita (Jim Keetch), Step-Children: Adrien Picarello, Troy Picarello, and Kathy Kitchen, 17 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind his little Maltese dog, named Chico, whom he loved.
