John Herbert Jackson, age 80, of Sandy, Utah, passed away at home August 11th 2023, surrounded by his loving family and holding his sweethearts’ hand. John will be missed by his loving wife JoAnn, his children Clint (Melissa), Sheri (Kent) Hutchinson, and Debbie (Dan) Walker, 18 devoted grandchildren, and 42 great-grandchildren. He is survived by his four brothers Paul, Larry, Noel, Kirk, and preceded in death by his sister Zina.

John was born September 29, 1942, in Archer, Idaho, to John Nichols and Martha Elizabeth Bell McFarland. He was sealed to JoAnn Utley, in the Salt Lake Temple on April 30, 1962. John worked a variety of jobs throughout his life, but his passion was truck driving. He loved camping and boating with his family, talking with his sweetheart, collecting model cars, and talking about old cars.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Aug 17th at 11:00 a.m. at the Eastridge 1st Ward located at 552 E 11400 S in Draper, Utah. A viewing will be held prior from 10 - 10:45 a.m. at the same location. Interment at Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery.
