John Henry Becker Jr. was born March 2nd 1955 to Major John Henry Becker Sr., and Hazel Lee Becker in Fort Knox, Kentucky. He came home to his big sister Karen who wasn't sure about him, because he never left. He quickly became her "Buddy" and continues to be even to this day.

From a young age, John had a special skill when it came to cars. That skill and passion led the way to many great things in his life. John was very dedicated to his drag racing career. It started on State Street with his gold 1969 Camaro Z28, and continued professionally with his red 1967 Camaro, and his 1972 Nova. John was well known at Bonneville Raceway and Firebird Raceway, where he won many races. John's very greatest achievement was being Daddy to his girls.

John married Karla Ann Tolman, August 4th 1978. Although he was hoping to have a crew of boys, he and Karla brought into this world four special girls, Mindy, Jenny, Laura and Jessica, and he would not have had it any other way. John had a special place in his heart for his girls. He always allowed them to put pretty bows, barrettes, and headbands in his hair, but secretly we drove him a little crazy. One of the most valuable lessons he taught his girls was never letting a car pull up next to them at a stoplight, and letting that car win because they had a bad reaction time. John's love of music also had a big influence on his girls. He took his family to many concerts, including Ringo Starr and Paul McCartney. His love for The Beatles will forever be remembered.

John loved his girls more that anything. His greatest loss was when his daughter Jenny passed away April 5th 2010. His life was never the same. We are confident Jenny and his parents were waiting for him with open arms.

John is survived by his beautiful daughters, Malinda Moser (Shane) , Laura Tatafu (Heneli) , Jessica Jensen (Travis), and his son-in-law Jason Beckstrom. John is also survived by his sister Karen Martinez (Paul) , and niece Samantha. John's girls gave him his pit crew of grandsons. Ethan and Jack Beckstrom, Derek, Dylan, and Lucas Moser, Hakeai and Sipiloni Tatafu. He also had two sweet Granddaughters Kalina and Lylah Tatafu who loved him very much. John will be greatly missed by his Grand Dogs Axle and Ruger Jensen.

A special thank you to his nephew Al Jones, and his "Camaro Brother" Steve Macklyn. We appreciate all of the happiness you helped bring into his life.

John is preceded in death by his daughter Jennifer Ann Becker Beckstrom, and his parents John and Hazel Becker. What a great reunion they are having.

A celebration for John's life will be held Tuesday December 14, 2021, at Memorial Lakeview Mortuary and Cemetery. Viewing will be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m., and a graveside service at 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
