Joel Evan Lewis passed away as a victim of a pedestrian/auto hit-and-run on November 14, 2022, in West Valley City, Utah, at the age of 39. Joel was born on December 30, 1982, in Salt Lake City, Utah at Holy Cross Hospital to Debra Rogers Lewis and Robert L Lewis.

Joel was never married, but Teresa Vandyke was his love at the time of his death.

He loved shooting and collecting guns and camping. He also enjoyed bowling with Teresa, Aydan, and any friends he could round up to go with them.

He is survived by: Mother, Debra G Lewis; Son, Aydan D Lewis, age 8; Daughter, Skylista R Lewis, age 6 months; Father, Robert L Lewis; Step-sister, Shaye; and Step-Brother, Jacob.

He is preceded in death by his Grandparents.

A private celebration of Joel’s life will be held by close friends and family on Saturday, November 26, 2022.

Cremation arrangements are being held by Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah 84123.
