Jodi Bour Wong

February 19, 2021, Jodi Bour Wong, loving wife and mother of two, passed away at age 47 after valiantly battling pulmonary arterial hypertension for over 6 years.

Jodi was born January 31, 1974 in Thailand to Don Sr. and Anong Bour. She attended schools all across the United States in Illinois, California, Nevada, and graduated from North Pole High School in Alaska in 1992. She continued on to graduate from beauty school in Utah shortly after.

On April 3, 2004, she married Hakota Wong. Together, they raised two wonderful daughters, Kyara (15) and Lyana (9).

Jodi was a loving wife, mother, daughter, and aunt. She loved spending time with family and always made it a priority to keep in touch with her nieces, nephews, and other extended family members via phone calls, texts, postcards, or letters. She had a passion for cooking and baking, and those who knew her agree that she made the world’s best chocolate chip cookies. She was known for her quick wit, her infectious smile, her love for old school music, and her kind and compassionate spirit.

She is preceded in death by her sister, Annalee, and survived by her husband Hakota; their daughters Kyara and Lyana; her parents Don Sr. and LaVonne Bour; and her siblings Don Jr, Sunee, and Charles. She will be deeply missed by her friends, family, and all who knew her.

Funeral service will be held Monday, March 1st, 2021 at the Memorial Redwood Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah. Interment, Memorial Redwood Cemetery. The services will be livestreamed via Zoom and can be viewed using the instructions below:
