Jodee was a woman of faith, never faltering in her devotion to God. She enjoyed singing, teaching, and spending time with the young women. She loved the temple and cherished her many experiences in the house of the Lord. She knew temple work was God’s work here on Earth.

The mountains were a source of strength for her. She cherished her time at the family cabin and fulfilled a life goal of visiting the Alps in Switzerland.

Jodee had many phases in her professional life and treasured the people she worked with. She climbed the corporate ladder as a top 40 sales rep for Kinko’s. Later, in Real Estates Jodee loved helping people find their dream homes. She ended her career at West Jordan Middle School.

She was a die-hard fan of all things red, including, cherries, roses, sunsets, and Utah football and gymnastics. Go Utes!

She is preceded in death by her parents Gordon Nathaniel and Joanne DeHaan Smith, and sister Annette Smith Hill. She is survived by her five children Beckie (David) Chase, Benjamin Cary Gerber, Natalie Gerber, Christie (Brian) Olsen, Michael Byron (Jakelin) Gerber, and her 11 grandchildren.
