JoAnne Gardner Longman

JoAnne Gardner Longman, 82, passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at her home in Pleasant Grove, Utah. She was born on May 19, 1938 in American Fork, Utah to parents Alton Ford Gardner and Katherine Ida Gleason Gardner.

JoAnne was raised along with her 4 sisters in Pleasant Grove on her family dairy farm. She loved to climb trees, play sports and sing. Her Aunt Jennie taught her to play the piano. She loved to paint and was an extremely talented artist. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She loved the church very much. She held many callings and put her best into everything she did. She was also a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. She loved traveling to the places she was teaching about to do her own research. She loved her family above all else, immediate and extended. They were her life and she was very proud of them. She was the kindest most thoughtful woman. She wanted to know everything about everyone she met. She loved life and lived it to the fullest.

JoAnne is survived by her children: Rocky, Angie McDuffie (Shawn deceased), Wade (Cindy Flygare), Lance (Tami Leuze), Tonja, Rhett (Sarah Marshall). Her grandchildren: Brianna, Jeremiah, Jeff, Jessica, Allen, CynJon, Dakota, Kaidyn, Devon, Zane, Montana, Weston, Kalysta, Madeleine, Maximillian, Ian and Thatcher, and 17 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Lois Kleparek.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband Allen Thatcher Longman. Her son Shawn Gardner Longman. Her parents Alton Ford and Katherine Ida (Gleason) Gardner. Her sisters: Kaye Shelley, Charlotte Garrett and Marilyn Huff.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, February 23rd, at 11:00 am, at the Garden 3rd Ward, 1028 West 1000 North, Pleasant Grove, Utah, where a viewing will be held Monday, February 22nd from 6:00 to 8:00 pm and prior to services on Tuesday from 10:00 to 10:45am. Interment in Pleasant Grove City Cemetery.
