Joanne Ludlow Blake, beloved Mother, Grandma and Friend passed away on Sunday January 23, 2022. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah on October 17, 1926 to Josephine and Ralph Ludlow.

Joanne married the love of her life and soul mate, Merrick William (Bill) Blake in the Logan Utah Temple on August 8, 1946. Their love was truly the love of a lifetime. Joanne’s family brought so much joy into her life and together Bill and Jo welcomed five children.

Joanne loved the gospel of Jesus Christ, and her example of unwavering faith was an example to many. She served in many callings, and was an accomplished Genealogist.

Jo brought so much joy into the lives of her family, there was never a question that her family was the most important thing in her life. She was kind and service oriented, always serving

silently. Joanne was an avid lover of the Utah Jazz, card games, knitting, cooking, baking and going to lunch.

Joanne is survived by her loving children: Rob (Sue) Blake, Janet (Jim) Jones, Nancy Davis and Annie (Chris) Swan, along with many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her beloved husband Bill, son Steven, grandsons Mac and Creed, and siblings Ralph (Bo), Chess, Marjorie and Hal.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the amazing staff at The Grand Assisted Living at Holladay for their loving care and service to Joanne. We are profoundly grateful that she was able to be surrounded by such loving caretakers and friends in the last few years of her life.
