It is with great love and sadness that we announce the passing of Joan K. Richardson, who left us on February 16, 2025. She was born on October 23, 1935, in Consumers, Utah, and was the beloved daughter of Milton Kirk and Verona Boren whom she loved deeply. She was the oldest of four sisters and had a special bond with each of them. She cherished the time they spent together which was full of love and laughter.
On April 16th 1952, Joan married the love of her life Theral, and was sealed to him in the Manti Temple. Together, they built a loving home and raised five wonderful boys. She was a devoted wife and mother, taking care of her family with unwavering love and compassion. After losing her beloved husband, Joan continued to be a beacon of light for those who knew her. She was a special person, known for her vibrant personality, sense of humor, and her caring heart. Her love for her grandkids was evident to all, and she enjoyed every moment spent with them.
Joan had a passion for life that showed in everything she did. She was an artist at heart, creating beautiful paintings that reflected her spirit. She was known for always looking "fancy," with perfectly styled hair, nails, and jewelry that made her stand out. She was known for her infectious laugh and bright smile that could light up any room.
Her favorite pastimes included listening to Elvis Presley, and watching reruns of the Dean Martin variety show. She found joy in planting and tending to her flower gardens. She was passionate about her jewelry and knowledgeable about each piece that she collected.
Joan and Theral created lasting memories with their boys in places like Mill Hollow and Woodland Camper World.
Joan was always happy, uplifting, and quick to lend a helping hand to all. Her positive attitude and kindness will never be forgotten. She was truly a one-of-a-kind woman, and her memory will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of spending time with her.
Joan loved the gospel and found strength, peace, and joy in her faith throughout her life. Because of her faith in our Heavenly Father‘s plan, she looked forward to being reunited with her husband, parents, sisters, and friends, who all passed before her. Her legacy of love, laughter, and beauty will remain in our hearts forever.
Joan will be dearly missed by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, family and friends.
