Jeffrey (Jeff) Warren Kimber May 24, 1961 - May 29, 2021

Our big brother peacefully passed away surrounded by his brothers and sisters in law.

Jeff fought an infection brought on by rheumatoid arthritis and diabetes, until his last breath.

He is the first of five boys, born and raised by his loving parents Warren V Kimber and Barbara Jorgensen Kimber in Woods Cross, UT.

Jeff spent his 60th birthday in the MICU at the U of U Hospital in Salt Lake City. He reached his goal of making it to 60.

He attended Woods Cross High School and was in the first class to graduate from the new school in 1979. Jeff has a son, Kyle William Jones of Woods Cross. He loved Kyle very much and spent a great deal of time with him fishing, going out to eat, or just puttering around the house.

He loved the outdoors and camping. He loved fishing and golfing with Dad every chance he got.

Jeff also took good care of Mom. He was able to visit her often at her care facility in Bountiful. They talked about their beloved Boston red sox baseball team, the cat, etc.. He made sure she had clean clothes to wear and was being well taken care of.

Jeff was involved in his nieces and nephews lives as much as possible. He loved seeing them and catching up with them. They will all miss him very much.

Jeff was a regular at May's Bar and Grill back in the day. He met a few of his long term friends there and has kept in touch with them. He was pretty good at throwing darts and shooting pool. He also enjoyed playing golf in the Lakeside Men's Association until his hands couldn't do it anymore.

It was a rare occasion for Jeff to miss a family reunion on either side of the family. He loved seeing and joking around with his aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Jeff had a number of jobs. He built metal buildings, did concrete work, and built cell towers with Mark for a few years.

We would like to thank the medical staff at University of Utah Hospital for the amazing care and compassion they provided Jeff for the last week of his life.

Jeff is preceded in death by his grandparents, dad, younger brother, Clayton Howard Kimber, and a few aunts, uncles and cousins. We’re sure the reunion on the other side was incredible.

He is survived by his son, Kyle. Mom, step mom (Helen Kimber) and three remaining brothers. Mark (Jill) Kimber of Centerville, UT Chuck (Loreen) Kimber of Layton UT, and Eston (Lauren) Kimber of Layton UT, and numerous nieces and nephews. Jeff will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

We welcome you to join us and pay your final respects to Jeff at a viewing on Friday, June 4th from 6 to 9 PM at Russon Brothers Mortuary at 295 North Main Street Bountiful, UT 84010

There will also be a viewing Saturday morning from 9 to 10AM at the LDS church at 2064 S 800 W Woods Cross, UT 84087

The family will be holding a graveside service for Jeff and wish to keep it private. Thank you for understanding.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Junior Diabetes Research Foundation in Jeff’s name.
