Jeff Soderberg took his final flight from this earth on January 5, 2023. He was only 67 years old and stayed with us as long as he could as he battled early-onset dementia. His wife and partner Camille Cornaby was at his side as they had been for 35 years. Jeff was born to Dr. Tom Soderberg and Shirley Maughan who both preceeded him in death.

Jeff was proud of his MBA from the University of Utah but he was more proud of the business he and Camille built together 29 years ago, Software Technology Group. He was also very proud of all the children and grandchildren in his life. His children are Erik (Beth), Greg (Lauren), Kate (Trevor) and by marriage James (Heather) and Chris. He made a great effort to spend a lot of time with them and was lucky enough to travel and enjoy a trip with each family during the final year of his life.

Jeff was an accomplished and proficient pilot. He was lucky enough to fly family and friends in small planes for over 20 years. He was especially proud of his intercontinental flight from the US to Canada, Iceland, then Scotland and back. It had been one of his life goals.

Jeff was very athletic and enjoyed many sports including rock climbing, mountain and road biking, hiking, mountaineering, skiing and running. He loved to travel and he and Camille visited many parts of the world, often with friends or family. He was equally at home camping in the desert or mountains. He enjoyed fly fishing and it provided him outdoor time and the thrill of the catch (and release).

He loved music and attended many concerts. There was always music playing in the house and car and he would make a game of naming the artists.

Jeff had a passion for wine and that inspired a lot of the travel he and Camille did. He loved to collect and drink wine and was instrumental in helping to create a beautiful wine room in their home.

The pandemic made jigsaw puzzles more integral to everyday life with Jeff. It was a hobby that gave him joy until he passed. There was always a puzzle on the table ready to be worked on.

Private funeral services for the immediate family will be held on Saturday, January 14. If anyone feels that they would like to remember Jeff please consider a donation to a charity of your choice or plant a tree on his behalf.

So very sorry for your loss Camille. Praying for your comfort at this most difficult time. I always loved hanging with Jeff at the crag or gym. If you ever need a belay or just to chat come hang with us!

Jeff was such a smart person, with a keen mind for business, and how to succeed. I was grateful for the times that David and I were able to have with Jeff. He knew how to make the perfect omelet, and how to raise and butcher a pig. He loved horses and enjoy his kids so much! He could play the guitar beautifully and sing just as well. He played and sang a song by John Denver at our wedding and it meant a lot to David and I.

It was fun to see Jeff when he was enjoying the outdoors. Whether it was camping, fishing, boating, rock climbing, hiking, enjoying a concert under the stars, or just taking a walk, he seemed to be happy outside. He enjoyed people and seemed to be liked by all! He will be so missed! I am grateful that he and David are together, and I know their mother Shirley is doing her "happy dance" to be with them again! May the Savior bring your family peace and comfort at this difficult time. We love you Jeff and Camille!

We first met Jeff and Camille 25 years ago at the crag in American Fork Canyon and ran in the same rock climbing circles for many years. Jeff was always great to be around, and exceptionally down-to-earth and humble - despite his amazing life accomplishments. We marveled at his fitness and youthfulness, and never quite believed he had 15 years on us. We also always admired his and Camille's great partnership. You will be missed Jeff.

Jeff was always so kind and welcoming to our kids. I also recall how joyfully he gave us a tour of his beloved wine cellar. He will be missed in the neighborhood. Rest In Peace, Jeff. Betsy, Todd Leah and William

Great vision for the best company I have ever worked for. Even in death, I'm sure his ideals will live on. Thank you!

Camille and Jeff were always such a happy, fun loving, couple. It was so easy to see the love and respect they shared for one another. Jeff will be dearly missed by so many.

Jeff was like a brother to me in high school and college. His impact and influence on me is unmeasurable, including lining me up with my wife of 43 years. Our love of music and the outdoors allowed us to share many great times together. To this day when I hear certain songs it takes me to a Jeff Soderberg moment. I am selfishly sad that I will not have the opportunity to interact with Jeff again. I will miss Jeff and regret not spending more time with him. We lost a great person and a great friend

I have many great memories of experiences with Jeff, primarily junior high and high school, but on into his business career as well. Jeff was a truly great guy. Jeff certainly surpassed me in every way, but we must have had a similarity or two—years ago I have been stopped several times in Utah and the person said, "Jeff, ... Soderberg?" I said, "No, but he's a good friend." Good conversation followed. Same even happened in California, and once in downtown NYC—true story. But I always considered it a complement, and still do. A good man and a good friend. Sincere condolences. He enriched my life.

I loved to have visits from Jeff and Camille. He always treated Douglas and I with respect and was so fun to be around. He loved to hear Douglas' stories about the Judiciary, military and our lives. He had a great sense of humor and we were delighted to have him as part of our family -- He fit right in. He was so kind and generous with us. Love you tons!!

I knew Jeff many years ago in Los Angeles. There was a large group of us who knew and respected him as a person and as a Leader. I was saddened to hear of his passing.
