Jean quietly passed away Sunday evening surrounded by her family. She was born the 12th of 14 children to Otes Clysta Strasburg and Orville Cox Day in Highland, Utah. She lived a life of love and service, was known to uplift everyone, was a hard worker with a generous heart, and had a quick, playful wit. Graduating Valedictorian of her class at American Fork High School, she then attended BYU. Jean worked at Mountain Bell, where she met her eternal companion and love of her life, Blaine Wilcox Perkins. They married in the Salt Lake Temple on November 8, 1957, and were lifelong, devoted members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Jean served in most organizations and enjoyed being a Senior Missionary in Tonga with Blaine.

Parents of 7 children: Steve (Holly), Greg (Guy Hanna), David (Virginia), Julie (Mike) Wallace, Sheri Perkins Trigaud, Diane, Kathy (Trace) Olson, 27 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Survived by her children, their families and sisters: Esther (Myron) Smith and Miriam (Charlie) Greenland. Preceded in death by Blaine, her parents, 11 siblings, and a grandson.

Funeral services will be held Monday, September 19, 2022 at 11:00 am at the Butler Stake Center: 7035 S. Nutree Dr. (3300 E). Visitation Sunday from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm and Monday from 9:00 am to 10:30 am at the same location. Interment will be at the Highland City Cemetery at 2:15 pm.
