Jay L. Jensen passed away after a long battle with Crohn’s disease and small intestine cancer on February 3, 2021, in West Jordan, Utah. He was born on March 17, 1962, in Murray, Utah, to Joyce and LaMarr Jensen. Jay graduated from Jordan High School in 1980. He attended Utah Community College. He went on a mission to the Mississippi Jackson Mission. He married his love, Julie Blanche Dennison, in the Logan Temple on January 24, 1987. Together they had Jesse, a beautiful baby girl who passed away on February 26, 1992. Jay was employed at Kaman Industrial for 34 years. Jay was an avid hiker and biker. He loved to go hiking in the Wasatch. He also loved Disney!

Jay would like to give a special thanks to all of the medical staff that has helped in his lifelong battle: the Utah Cancer Specialists, Dr. Call, Amelia, the front staff, Tina 1 and Tina 2, and Andrew; the Utah Gastroenterologists, Dr. PJ Pedersen; surgeons Dr. Jill Clark, Dr. Hughes, and Dr. Lambert; the ER doctors and nurses at St. Marks Hospital and Jordan Valley Medical Center; the personnel at the radiology departments at St. Marks and Jordan Valley; his infectious disease specialist, Dr. Kashif Memon.

Jay is preceded in death by his father, Conrad LaMarr Jensen, and his daughter, Jesse Lydia Jensen. He is survived by his wife, Julie Jensen; his mother, Joyce Antell; his sisters, Joni Baxter (Jerry) and Jill Knudsen (Mike); and brother, Jeff Jensen (Rita).

From Jay: “I would like to express my thanks to Julie, my wife, of all of the support she has given to me during this. She is a very wonderful care taker, wife, support person, etc. She has helped me in lots of ways during our married life.”
