With great sorrow and bittersweet gratitude, we announce the passing of our kind, brave, and caring husband, father, son, brother, and friend, Jason Richard Williams. Surrounded by his family, Jason was only 46 when he passed away peacefully at home, on February 28, 2023. Despite spending much of his last 4 years in and out of the hospital battling brain cancer, he never lost his faith in God and he always showed remarkable strength, courage, and determination. The positive impact Jason had on his family, friends, and church will be felt for years to come, and he will be truly missed.

Jason was born in Kewanee, Illinois on January 18, 1977. At the age of eight, his family relocated to Arizona where he would later meet and marry the love of his life, Angela Lundquist. It was love at first sight when they started dating in high school. On March 14, 1998, Jason and Angela vowed to love and cherish each other for the rest of their lives. Jason got to work earning an Associate’s Degree in Electrical Technology and in 2002 they started an insurance agency with American Family Insurance. A couple years later they started their family. If you asked Jason, his greatest accomplishment wasn’t his Associate’s Degree or the insurance agency, it was being a proud father to their three children: RJ, Mikayla, and Beau.

Jason was known for his love of God, family, and the Chicago Bears. Jason was an active member at CCV - East Valley where he was a youth leader and coached soccer and football. In 2018 he fulfilled a lifelong dream and was able to serve a mission in Cambodia with the church. He loved our Lord and found great joy in bringing those around him closer to God. Jason savored spending as much time as possible with family. He helped care for his sick father, Richard, before he passed in 2013 due to pancreatic cancer. He cherished family vacations to the Bahamas, Hawaii, theme parks and camping. Even while he was sick, he would make time to check on family and friends who were enduring their own hardships. Jason inflicted his passion for the Chicago Bears on all that knew him. He loved to watch the Bears play.

Jason is survived by his loving wife, Angela Williams, children: Richard Jason, Mikayla Jean, and Beau Dean; mother, Tina Williams; sister April (Jim) Tomczyk. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard.

In remembrance of Jason Williams, we will hold a memorial service for him on March 13th at 11am at CCV - East Valley. Please join us as we celebrate this extraordinary person. A reception will immediately follow at The Vistas as Las Sendas.

I'll always remember Jason as someone who encouraged his wife in taking me in as family. In a way he was a step dad I never got to have, due to my own struggles. It always impressed me of his willingness to take me in when the task had to be challenging for him. I love you Jason and Angie. - Tim

Jason has a beautiful soul, and will be here with us, giving us his calm advise and giving smile, Love never dies, just evolves forever and forever. Jason you were a gift to all you knew, how lucky are we to have known you, We were to close in age for you to call me uncle Tim. Many times your reminded me that I was loved. I'm feeling you say that to me today, Jason, is now with the ones that left before him, especially your dad, and you grand parents who when needed your help never hesitated to help them out. We,ve all been blessed have you in our lives.

The light in the world has dimmed because of his passing. Jason and Angela perform so much good in the world daily and truly lived God's commandments to love as He loves. I know Jason will continue his work for the Lord on the other side of the veil and will continue to be a strength to his living family.

I know God will hold each of you in His mighty and loving hands during this time of sorrow.

My heart is breaking for you, Angela and the children. I could write a book if I spent all the time needed to talk about what an amazing man Jason was. The one thing I do know is that he is dancing with Jesus and hanging out with his pops. I love you all very much and consider you family, sending lots of prayers and love your way 🌸🙏🏼🌸
