Jason Tanner Bostwick

May 11, 1972 – August 10, 2026

Jason Tanner Bostwick, 54, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2026. He was born on May 11, 1972, in St. George, Utah, to Myrle Wayne Bostwick Jr. and Mary Graf Bostwick Sevy.

Jason was raised in Southern Utah and graduated from Dixie High School in 1990. During his high school years, he excelled in both wrestling and football. At the young age of 18, he also answered the call to serve his country, joining the Utah National Guard, Bravo Battery 222, on July 14, 1989. He was honorably discharged on April 8, 1995, after proudly serving as a howitzer driver.

Jason had a deep love for the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, riding through the mountains, and snowmobiling. He loved boxing, playing games, music, singing, and dancing. He also loved animals, especially his loyal companion, Buster. He was a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan and never missed an opportunity to cheer for his team.

Those who knew Jason will remember his big heart, funny laugh, and unmistakable infectious grin. He had a playful personality and especially loved teasing his nieces and nephews, whom he adored dearly. Jason had a way of bringing laughter and fun wherever he went, and his presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.

Jason is survived by his daughter, Kura Mechell Bostwick Farr (Logan), his mother, Mary Bostwick Sevy; stepfather, Steven Milton Sevy; siblings, Travis M. Bostwick, Kimberly L. Sevy, Carson T. Bostwick (Sara), Alesha I. Sevy, S. Aaron Sevy (Kalister), and Brandlyn B. McGee (Jeff); and many beloved nieces and nephews who held a special place in his heart.

He was preceded in death by his father, Myrle Wayne Bostwick Jr., and his grandparents, Sylvan and Sylva Graf, M. Wayne Bostwick, and Rose R. Bostwick.

Jason will be remembered for his love of family, his adventurous spirit, his sense of humor, and the joy he brought to the lives of those around him. He will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by his family and friends.

Funeral Services

A viewing will be held on Friday, August 14, 2026, from 5:00–7:00 p.m. at Spilsbury Mortuary. 110 S Bluff Street, St. George, Utah. A second viewing will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2026, from 9:30–10:30 a.m., followed by funeral services at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 3040 Santa Clara Drive, Santa Clara, Utah. Interment will take place at Santa Clara City Cemetery.

Jason’s family and friends are invited to come together to celebrate his life, share memories, and honor the wonderful man he was.

He will be greatly missed and forever loved.
