On February 4, 1972, Jaren Christopher was born. He was a few weeks premature and small; otherwise, a perfectly formed baby boy. For 11 days, we visited him while in "open crib" waiting for him to gain strength.

On February 15, 1972, he unexpectedly passed away. The Pediatric Cardiologist determined major heart defects complicated his struggle to survive. Our 10-year old daughter, Michelle, was heartbroken that this little brother would not be coming home from the hospital.

Surrounded by family and friends in Utah and Idaho, we received comfort and support. This was a difficult time filled with grief. Over the Reflective Memoir past 46 years, we return to his resting spot in Teton, Idaho. Our hearts are sad as we reflect on his loss - a life that was too short, created a special bond, and was such an influence on our future years.

On April 3, 1973, we welcomed our second son, Eric Dennis, weighing in at 7+ pounds. Through courage, determination, and faith, we found the promise of "tomorrow"
