Robbie Wrathall, Beloved Father, Son, Brother, Uncle, and Friend, passed away unexpectedly leaving a legacy of kindness, generosity, and quiet strength. Robbie was born the youngest of six children to Tom and Fay Wrathall. Robbie grew up in a large family, surrounded by siblings who loved and adored him. Being the youngest he made his own adventure in that space. He spent most of his childhood in Oregon, where he fell deeply in love with the outdoors. Forests, rivers, and mountains became his playground and later his place of peace.
In high school Robbie participated in soccer and debate where he excelled and became a self-proclaimed MasterDebater (Robbie would love this) winning state in duet and qualifying for nationals on the debate team as well as DECA. He loved to learn new things, reading up on subjects that interested him. He continued to love a good debate with anyone willing to tackle life’s difficult questions.
As a young man, Robbie served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Belgium, Brussels French speaking mission. During his time as a missionary, he mastered the French language (He loved teaching us all the swear words!). He also loved serving the people of France and Belgium and never had a problem striking up a conversation. This was a cherished time that shaped his faith, compassion, and lifelong dedication to serving others. Robbie continued that service after returning from his mission and often spent time volunteering at various food banks in Utah.
Robbie truly had a natural gift for lifting the people around him. Whether through a quiet conversation, a helping hand, or a plate of thoughtfully curated cheeses he proudly brought to every gathering. He had a way of making every moment warmer and any room feel more connected with his genuine smile and quick wit.
One of Robbie’s earliest and proudest joys was becoming an uncle at just eight years old. He lovingly would take nephews and nieces to “show and tell” while still in elementary school himself. His nieces and nephews adored him, and he embraced that role with his whole heart. He loved spending time with them, making them laugh, and teasing them to no end.
Recently, Robbie reached the pinnacle of his life when he became a father with his partner Mia. His daughter, Rowan Fay Wrathall, became the center of his world. He embraced the role of Father. He was an amazing Dad, quick to change a diaper, warm a bottle, and shower his beautiful daughter with all the love in the world. Fatherhood brought him immeasurable pride, and purpose, and he loved Rowan with a depth that everyone around him could see.
Robbie will be remembered as an incredible uncle, a devoted brother, a loving son, a loyal friend, and most importantly a phenomenal father and loving partner. He was someone who never hesitated to show up when he was needed. His humor, his gentle spirit, and his willingness to serve will be deeply missed.
He is preceded in death by his loving Mother Fay Wrathall, who we know welcomed him with a loving smile and warm embrace. He is survived by his partner Mia Keller, daughter Rowan Fay, Father Tom Wrathall (Norine), Siblings Chris (Jodi) Wrathall, Julie (Matias) Alvarez, Jennifer (Brian) Billingsley, Amy – Jo (Jimmy) Bell, and Spencer (Traci) Wrathall. Along with numerous nieces and nephews, and great nieces and great nephews.
As one final act of service, Robbie was an organ donor providing the opportunity of a better future to others.
He leaves behind a family who loved him endlessly and a community grateful for the light and love he shared.
Robbie will be missed but never forgotten.
