James Henry Maughan, age 82, passed away peacefully in his home on May 15, 2021 with his family surrounding him. He was born on July 8, 1938 in Perth, Scotland to Jim and Mary Maughan. He married Veronica Maughan on July 6, 1962.
James loved his Las Vegas vacations. He loved soccer, was an avid Jazz fan and loved his Miami Dolphins. He also loved to go dancing. He was the most loving husband, father and grandfather anyone could ask for. His dry Scottish sense of humor and sarcasm will be forever missed.
He is survived by his wife, Veronica Maughan, son, Kenneth (Jolene), daughter, Heather (Brandon), grandchildren, Random, Christopher, Dominic, Jacob, Alexis, Stockton, Niesa, Zakary and Taeshawn, and six great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Mary Maughan, and his sisters, Elspeth (Ben), Sheila and Pamela.
There will be a Friends and Family Gathering on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Memorial Redwood Mortuary located at 6500 South Redwood Road in West Jordan, Utah, immediately followed by a Memorial Service at 2:00 PM held at the same location.
