James Robert Leggett passed away on Monday, December 19, 2022. He was surrounded by family.

He was born in Brigham City, Utah on July 18, 1947 to his parents John Franklin Leggett and Norma LaDene Marbel Leggett. He had two siblings Marjorie Leggett Brown and Steven Leggett.

Jim graduated from Box Elder High School. He pursued a career in Automotive bodywork.

Jim married Sherilyn Jones in 1966 in the Logan Utah temple, they later divorced. They had three children together. Brett Leggett (Melanie), Shana Leggett Lewis (Chad), Jennifer Leggett Turner (Jeff); many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Mom is happily married to Tom Smolka who helped raise us children.

Dad taught us the value of hard work and pride in a job well done. He worked over 30 years at Merrill Bean and Beckstrom body shop in Ogden. He helped maintain the families peach orchards with his brother Steve in Brigham city. He had a green thumb for gardening. He was always making jokes and was a friend to all.

Jim loved spending time with his son Brett in the Outdoors deer and pheasant hunting and helping with his race car.

Jim enjoyed going to Rocky Mountain raceways. He had a liking for fast cars and fast women.

Jim married Terri Taylor and adopted her daughter Carrie Leggett Stoker from a previous marriage, they later divorced.

Jim married Billie Williams Leggett who he helped raise Jerimie Williams, daughter from previous marriage, they later divorced.

Jim married Chemaigne Goniotakis and helped raise Amanda Ebmeyer, daughter from previous marriage, they later divorced.

Jim is survived by his partner/caregiver Vesta Harvey in Tooele Utah.

Special thanks to Rocky Mountain Care - Willow Springs, hospice in Tooele Utah.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents John and Norma Leggett and sister Marjorie Brown.

The family is planning a private memorial service. Thank you for your kind memories and thoughts.
