He attended South High School, then served in the US Army from 1970 until 1972.

Jim shared his talents willingly and freely. He was a pillar of strength both in stature and in action. He stood tall and ready to serve anyone in need with his family being first and foremost his top priority. He especially loved volunteering at the VA hospital spanning several years.

Most dear to his heart was wife Lisa. They began their devotion to one another in 1974 and were married October 13th, 1979. Together they were dedicated parents to their four children and created a home where all were welcome, and all were loved. He believed in the power of prayer.

Jim was an avid golfer and made years of memories golfing with his big brother Steve, wife Pam and made lasting friendships with his golf buddies that continued on even through stage four cancer. A lifelong dream of golfing at Pebble Beach was realized in 2021. With his children, he loved watching sports, camping, fishing, traveling and supporting them through the challenges of life.

He spent countless hours "treasure hunting" with his best buddy and little sister Georgia who he often called his "angel". The three amigos (Jim, Georgia and Lisa) loved spending time in Wendover and made memories to last a lifetime. He took classes of silver smithing and enjoyed making jewelry for family and friends.

Jim is survived by his loving wife Lisa, daughters Matila, Lori (Matt) Starsiak, sons Jimmy (Shanna), Brandon (Rachel), brother Steve (Pam), sister Georgia (Craig) Hendricks, 13 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren with 1 on the way. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Bill and Ramona Jukes, treasured son in law Carl Q. Rogers and beautiful daughter Alicia.

We love you, until we meet again!
