James "Jim" Jay Jukes passed away peacefully and returned to his heavenly home on Monday, November 28, 2022 after a heroic battle with cancer. He was born July 13, 1952 in Tremonton Utah to Ramona and Bill Jukes.
He attended South High School, then served in the US Army from 1970 until 1972.
Jim shared his talents willingly and freely. He was a pillar of strength both in stature and in action. He stood tall and ready to serve anyone in need with his family being first and foremost his top priority. He especially loved volunteering at the VA hospital spanning several years.
Most dear to his heart was wife Lisa. They began their devotion to one another in 1974 and were married October 13th, 1979. Together they were dedicated parents to their four children and created a home where all were welcome, and all were loved. He believed in the power of prayer.
Jim was an avid golfer and made years of memories golfing with his big brother Steve, wife Pam and made lasting friendships with his golf buddies that continued on even through stage four cancer. A lifelong dream of golfing at Pebble Beach was realized in 2021. With his children, he loved watching sports, camping, fishing, traveling and supporting them through the challenges of life.
He spent countless hours "treasure hunting" with his best buddy and little sister Georgia who he often called his "angel". The three amigos (Jim, Georgia and Lisa) loved spending time in Wendover and made memories to last a lifetime. He took classes of silver smithing and enjoyed making jewelry for family and friends.
Jim is survived by his loving wife Lisa, daughters Matila, Lori (Matt) Starsiak, sons Jimmy (Shanna), Brandon (Rachel), brother Steve (Pam), sister Georgia (Craig) Hendricks, 13 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren with 1 on the way. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Bill and Ramona Jukes, treasured son in law Carl Q. Rogers and beautiful daughter Alicia.
We love you, until we meet again!

I knew Jimmy when he moved in to our neighborhood and we became friends. We did a lot of thing together. We both liked to play golf and basketball, and to goof off a lot. I haven’t seen Jimmy in a long time I wise we would have been in touch with each other. He was a good person most of the time. He will be missed a lot. My sorrow goes out to the his family.
I am so saddened by Jims death. He was one of my favorite golfers at The Ridge. I looked forward every Monday, and Thursday when I worked to seeing him. Always friendly and upbeat. He will be deeply missed.

To Jim's Family
Let your tears of sadness flow
May they drop softly and disappear
And fade into memories throughout
The years.
May God bless you all,
Jim will be on your mind and in your heart forever.
He will be your light, when its time for you to go...
So...Let him shine brightly in your memories and Smile.

Worked with Jim for several years at Hercules (now Northrop) and appreciated his warm smile and congenial personality. I found him to be very honest and helpful as an employee.
We are so sorry to hear of Jim's passing. We worked with Jim at ATK and he always had a smile on his face.
He will be missed by alot of friends.
GOD SPEED
Jim was one of those guys that you enjoyed being around. Being around Jim I believe made me a better person and I believe anyone that was with Jim felt the same way. I will miss playing golf with and against him, He definitely will be missed. Rest in peace big guy
I'm really sadden by the loss of my Monday golf partner. Jim will really be missed by the Ridge G.C. staff and all his friends who golfed with him over the years. Best wish and blessings to the Jukes family.
I remember working with Jim in some very unpleasant situations on the job and he was always calm and positive. I still remember those moments and I thank you Jim for the chance to experience your friendship. See you again, your a wonderful man. Ron Aguilar
