James M. Christensen 1956 ~ 2006 Jim Christensen, age 49, passed away Friday, March 24, 2006 at his home in Alpine, Utah. His death was caused by complications arising from metastatic melanoma. His wife and children were at his side as he peacefully passed away. His son, Nate, who is serving a mission in Ecuador, was the only child not present. Jim was born June 12, 1956 in Fontana, California. He was raised in Southern California where he met his wife, Sherry (McClure) Christensen. He and Sherry were married in the Oakland Temple and together they raised their seven children, all of whom survived him in his passing. Jim had many great achievements during his lifetime. He was a successful real estate developer by profession. He was also a skilled fly fisherman and enjoyed the outdoors. However, throughout his life, he always felt that his greatest assets were his wife and children. During his final days, many people provided tender and loving care to Jim and his family. The family would like to thank each of Jim's brothers and sisters, the Alpine 2nd Ward, and Doug Mower. The family is also appreciative of the services of Vistacare's hospice team.

I know he is dearly loved and deeply missed. I’ve never met Jim, but I look forward to it on the other side.

I would like to personally thank him for being an amazing example and a good father to some of the best people I know!

Jim was an amazing husband, father, son and son in law. He was always there for me when I needed him and I am blessed to have had such a wonderful Son in Law.♥️
