Jamaul Tyler Atcitty

Jul 26, 1995 Apr 6, 2022

Jamaul Tyler Atcitty, 26, died on April 6, 2022. He was born on July 26, 1995, to Jamie Dan-Hernandez and Paul Irvin Atcitty, Jr.

Jamaul enjoyed listening to many genres of music, making music, writing lyrics, and even taught himself to play the guitar. He liked going out on adventures with friends, having game nights, visiting the bar scene, going to Lagoon, and just having a good time as a group. He also enjoyed getting together with his family for barbecues, holidays, special occasions, or simply to hang out, with music, drinks, and laughter. He had an amazing personality, a big heart, a great sense of humor, a contagious laugh, and danced when the music “bumped”. He didn’t care who was watching, lived in the moment, and had a way of helping others feel comfortable & cared for. He truly had a big heart for others, especially for those closest to him. He also enjoyed going to concerts and watching Marvel movies.

Jamaul was born in Shiprock, New Mexico, and lived in Murray/SLC, Utah since 1996. He graduated from Murray High School in 2013 and spent the last four years working as a painter at Hydro Engineering.

Jamaul is survived by his mother Jamie and stepfather J. Armando Hernandez of Murray, UT, his father Paul Jr. and stepmother Kendra Atcitty, of Bluff, UT; maternal grandmother Stella Curtis of Rock Point, AZ and paternal grandmother Inez Atcitty of Bluff, UT; uncle Dewayne “DJ” Martin (Teresa Barela) of West Valley, UT; aunt Patience Martin of Ogden, UT, Iris Pete (Jerome) of Beshbitoh, AZ, Paula Allen (Louis) of Bluff, UT, and Patiencia Atcitty (Marcus Yazzie) of Blanding, UT; sisters Janeel Atcitty, Esther & Eva Hernandez, and Leah Atcitty; brothers J’dan Hernandez, Azriel & Ahriel Hernandez, Kaylub, Brady, and Skylar Atcitty; nieces Mayliee Arzate, Naomi Atcitty, and Sandra Ralston; and many cousins.
