Izaltina Zanetti Gaertner

Izaltina Zanetti Gaertner passed away at the age 83 on March 21, 2022, in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born on October 12, 1938, in Campo Largo, Parana, Brazil, to Ernaldo Zanetti and Anna Batistel.

She married Gilbert Gaertner on February 4, 1961, in Curitiba, Parana, Brazil. The two were later sealed in the Sao Paulo Temple on March 31, 1979. She was the mother of six: Gilbert, Margareth, Elizabeth, Robert, Bernadete, and Kelly. She had 18 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

She served three LDS full-time service missions with her husband: one at the Porto Alegre Temple, one at the Campinas Temple, and one at the Recife/Curitiba Temple. She loved cooking, shopping, traveling, and spending time with her family. She was always the most elegant and adored by all.

She is survived by her husband, Gilbert Gaertner, her six children and 18 grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and 10 siblings.

Funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 27, 2022, at 2:00 PM at the Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah 84123 with a viewing prior beginning at 11:00 AM and ending at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow at the same location.
