Our precious little heart warrior, Hope Melissa Larkin, finished her fight against Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome in the early morning hours of Monday, October 31, 2016. Hope began her earthly journey on Friday, October 14, 2016, the daughter of Nicholas Neil and Melissa Sharples Larkin. She was called home by our Heavenly Father far too soon for our understanding but we find comfort in knowing she is now in His arms and no longer suffering. She has finished her course, fought a good fight, and earned her angel wings.

Hope is survived by her parents, big brother Paul Robert, and big sister Ava Rose. She is also survived by adoring grandparents, great-grandparents, aunts, uncles, great-aunts, great-uncles, cousins, friends and all those lives she has touched. Hope was and will always be an inspiration to many around the world.

Our family would like to acknowledge and thank the caring staff at the University of Utah and Primary Children’s Hospital for all their love, deep devotion and care for Hope and our family. We do so with sincere hearts, more 5. Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. Proverbs 3:5 than words can offer.

We thank every single one of you who have followed Hope and our family. To conclude her journey, we will be holding public funeral services on Saturday, November 5th, at 3:00 pm at the Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South) Sandy, Utah. Public viewings will take place on Friday from 6-8pm at the Taylorsville Gardens 2nd Ward Building, 4252 South Bennion Road, and one hour prior to services on Saturday at the mortuary.
