Helen dedicated her life in sacrifice and service to her family and friends. There wasn’t a day that passed by that Helen wasn’t looking for opportunities to reach out a helping hand of love and support to anyone in need. She was always sending notes and letters of love and encouragement to her many friends and family members. She was an empathetic and loyal friend to so very many who loved her in return.

Helen was a very dedicated and valiant member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was always very committed to serving humbly in each of her many callings in the church, no matter how uncomfortable or inadequate she felt, and enjoyed the friendships that came from those callings. Her service included teacher, Primary President, Young Women President, and Relief Society President, and appropriately, Ministering Sister. She also served as hostess at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building and as a full-time Missionary in the California, San Diego Mission with her husband. Her greatest accomplishment was that of being a dedicated and loving wife and mother. She taught each of us by her incredible example of pure charity and unconditional love.

Helen is survived by her children Daryl (Laura) McCarty, Paul (Mary Anne) McCarty, Margie (Brad) Pulsipher; 17 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren, and her brother, Ray (Bernella) Brown. She is preceded in death by her husband, Daryl J McCarty, Sr, son, Mark McCarty, parents, a brother and sister.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to Canyon HomeCare & Hospice for their dedicated service and kindness, as well as the caregivers and staff at Sagewood at Daybreak.
