On January 5, 2021, we lost our beloved, beautiful, and courageous Graciela Maria Cava Zullo. She fought until the end, never giving up, and left us with a smile despite suffering for almost four years. With heavy hearts, we bid farewell to our hero, our companion, and our inspiration.

Our wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, aunt, cousin, and friend is survived by her husband, Angelo, three children: Nancy (Martin), Gabriel (Paige), and Christian, and five grandchildren: Dylan (14), Ema (13), Gage (12), Maia (10), and Gavin (8). She is also survived by her mother, Rosa Turbinelli Cava and sisters: Sara Zullo and Lucy Karren.

Graciela was loved by everyone and loved everyone unconditionally. She had an engaging personality, vibrant spirit, and kind heart. She was a friend to all who knew her. She was passionate about cooking, traveling, spending time with her friends, and making everyone feel welcome, but her greatest source of happiness and pride was her wonderful family, especially her grandchildren. She loved watching her granddaughters dance, her grandsons play sports, and having the family over for Sunday dinners.

Graciela was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on September 1, 1955 and lived there until she moved with her husband to Stanford, Connecticut for a few years, where her daughter was born. Her first son was born in Argentina and her second son was born in Utah. She remained in Utah, where she worked hard, made many sacrifices, and was blessed with her five grandchildren.

We will miss Graciela immensely but we are greatly comforted by the knowledge that she has returned to her heavenly home and the open arms of her loving father, Francesco Cava. We are all better for having known and loved Graciela. She impacted so many people around the world and her kindness will never be forgotten. We will carry her in our hearts until we see her again.

On behalf of the family, we wish to express our sincere appreciation for the kind wishes, thoughts, and prayers. Viewing will be held on Monday, January 11, 2021 from 6:00-8:00 pm and a family tribute will begin at 7:00 pm at Jenkins-Soffe, 4760 South State Street, Murray, Utah 84107. All are welcome to attend. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at 11:00 am at Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 1375 East Spring Lane, Salt Lake City, Utah 84117.
