younger brothers, Robert David and his wife Bonnie, Douglas Ivan and his wife Ann. Gordon was married in 1955 to Emmajane Denise (Johnson). Married his high school sweetheart, together they had five (5) children. Kathi Rae, husband (Richard Hoopes); Mitchell (Gordon), deceased, wife (Denice Merkley); Brenda Kay, husband (Charles Thad Torres); Donald Ivan deceased as an infant; Steven Lowell and his wife (Danielle Cooper). They were divorced in 1975. Gordon founded Bowers & Company, a real estate development company in Boise Idaho, were he was involved in various commercial real estate projects. After meeting Jan Blackhurst they were married 1982. They have been married for 37 years and have one (1) Son, Nathan Levi. Gordon was very charismatic and had many talents. He was very athletic, enjoying golf, skiing, and tennis to name a few. He was creative and was a gifted artist. He enjoyed gardening having an immaculate landscape where ever he lived. He had a variety of careers, Bristol Meyers Pharmaceuticals; Bowers & Company, (owner) and later retired as an Investment Broker, from Boettcher & Company, to Prudential and now Wells Fargo Financial Services. After retirement, he pursued his passion with his creative side in art. Taking various painting classes at the University of Utah. Together Jan and Gordon took many vacations to Europe, and Fiji. Gordon had a very full life and will be greatly missed. Survived by his wife, Jan; 4 children; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 3 great great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 sons.

Funeral Service

will be held on Friday, January 24, 2020. With viewing at 11:00am, and funeral services at 12:00pm. Both at the LDS Chapel, 8950 South 1300 West, West Jordan, Utah, 84088.

Internment: Sandy City Cemetery, 700 East 9000 South, Sandy, Utah, 84070.
