Gloria Alma Aragon Rodriguez de Aragon of Chihuahua, Chihuahua Mexico residing in Orem, Utah, passed away peacefully July 25, 2022 at Intermountain Hospital in Provo, Utah. She was born May 11, 1938 in Chihuahua, Chihuahua Mexico. She lived most of her life in Mexico and came to the United States later in life to be with her children.

Gloria was married to Mario Aragon Lomas for 60 years. They were married on January 11, 1962 and later sealed for time and all eternity in the Mesa, Arizona temple. Throughout their marriage, Gloria supported her husband in is profession as a medical doctor and, being a surgical nurse herself, worked alongside him in their medical clinic and pharmacies.

She was a loving mother to 7 children, Georgina (Cristobal Sibaja), Alma, Sarahi (Matthew Gogna), Elsa (John McGroarty), Nancy (Reid Cope), Mario(Norma), and Elizabeth (Justin Miller), and the beloved grandmother and great grandmother to 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

"God be with you till we meet again"

Gloria was a member of the 11th Spanish ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and has served her Heavenly Father in various callings including Ward Historian, RS teacher and many others.

In her mortal life, Gloria lived a Christ-like life through her passion and love for her family, her friends, and many others. She expressed those passions through her beautiful artistry of poems through which these passions flowed freely, of which many were written about family members and other beautiful subjects.

Gloria was the highest example of a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother through her example of service and sacrifice, dedication to family, and her work. In her younger years, Gloria worked in many occupations, most notably a surgical nurse and later owned a pharmacy.

Services will be held on July 28, 2022 at the Lakeview 4th Ward located at 2168 S 140 W, Orem, Utah at 10:00 am. A viewing for family and friends will be held Thursday morning at 9:00am prior to the funeral service at the same location. Burial will be in the Orem Cemetery following the services.
