Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, Gloria Dean Bauer Neilson passed away on March 10, 2021. She was born February 18, 1932 in Salt Lake City to John H. Bauer and Jennie Hales Bauer.

She attended Brigham Young University and then the University of Utah where she earned a degree in nursing. She loved being a RN and served in various positions in the nursing field throughout her career.

She married Denny Lowell Neilson on December 11, 1953 in the Salt Lake Temple. They settled in Bluffdale and loved the community and she served when asked in many capacities.

Together they raised five children: Shauna, Diane, Kathy, Wayne and Dwight. She was a dedicated wife and mother. She had 18 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren. They were her pride and priority. She enjoyed supporting all of her family in sporting activities.

She was an active member LDS church and served faithfully in many positions. She served many years as pianist and organist in her ward.

She enjoyed camping, sewing, quilting, beautiful flowers, and playing the piano among other talents and hobbies. She was proud of her heritage and was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.

Gloria is survived by her husband Denny, her five children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents and brother Mark.

She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Services for Gloria will be held Tuesday, March 16th, 2021 at 12:00 PM at the Bluffdale 2nd Ward located at 14400 South Redwood Road, Bluffdale, Utah. There will be viewing held an hour and a half prior from 10:00 AM-11:30 AM at the same location.

Interment will follow at Bluffdale City Cemetery located at 14229 South Redwood Road, Bluffdale, Utah.
