Glen Dale Young passed away on October 27, 2020 in West Valley City, Utah at the age of 88. He was born on May 20, 1932 in Fairview, Utah to Mary Ellen Terkelsen and Roy Orland Young. He married Doris Elaine Simpson on September 12, 1951. Glen loved fishing and hunting, he always enjoyed going to Kamas and spending time in their trailer. He liked going to yard sales, swap-meets and estate sales. Glen was always outside tinkering with many projects including his tractors, riding lawn mower and anything he could find to keep himself busy. His favorite pastime was visiting with friends and family; telling life stories. He had a special place in his heart for his best friend Daisy (his Yorkie). No one can disagree that the best accomplishment in his life was holding onto, loving, cherishing and never letting go of the love of his life, Doris Elaine Simpson Young (Doke).

Glen is survived by his wife, Doris, his daughters, Doris (Ron) Roeling, Connie (Randy) Fausett, and Sharrie Wrona, six grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.

Glen is preceded in death by his son, Glen Young, Jr, and his great-grandson Kody Milburn.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, November 4, 2020 from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM with a graveside service to follow at 11:00 AM at Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah 84123.

Following Salt Lake County’s mandate on facial coverings, face masks are required at all public gatherings. Social distancing will be enforced.
