George Earl Harris

George Earl Harris passed away December 1, 2021. He was a wonderful father and husband. He would do anything for his family and loved every moment he spent with them.

He served his country in the United States the Air Force. He was in the Korean War as a gunner, going on numerous flights throughout the war.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ and had a strong testimony. He had many callings, but mostly took care of the financial matters. He loved sports and met his sweetheart at a basketball game, where she was the scorekeeper. They were married in the Temple and had a wonderful life together raising three beautiful children.

George always worked hard and constantly helped others. He was non-judgmental, extremely generous, and Christlike. He went on a mission to Figi. He will be greatly missed.

He is preceded in death by his wife Marilyn, his sister Beverly, his granddaughter Rebecca, and his parents. He is survived by his 3 children, Bonnie (Dayle) Greenwood, George (Vickie) Harris, Diane (Eldon) Griffin, his 10 grandchildren, his 21 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints meeting house located at 10124 South 1300 West South Jordan, UT on January 8th. There will be no viewing. Interment at the South Jordan Cemetery.
