He proudly served in the Marines, and was a devoted member of the Marine Corps league, in the Utah Dixie detachment.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Jacque Boothroyd, and their kids: Keitha (Patrick) Eskelson, Sydney (Jason) Abernathy, Nathan Thompson, and Michael Boothroyd. He is also survived by his brother Morris (Linda) Boothroyd. He has five grandchildren, and seven great grand children.

The celebration of life, followed by a small reception, will be performed at 9am on July 18th at the Veterans Park at 75 E Telegraph St, Washington Utah, 84785.

We have some wonderful, cherished memories with this gentle giant, Gary Boothroyd.. Beers and burgers @ Firehouse, bonfires, and game nights. He would do anything for folks, having a huge heart. Loved his wife, Jacque, children, grandchildren, etc...and his pets as well. There was an empty place in our lives when the family moved to Utah, but was glad to see them several times in Utah. So sorry for your loss. Peace & love

So saddled to hear the news of my old friend of almost 60 years. Gary and I were neighbors in Lakewood in the early 60's and I have nothing but good memories and know Gary to have been very pleasant, even if times were not so perfect. We were in the same kindergarten class and we were also friends. I reconnected recently again with Gary and was hoping to see him soon. God Bless you and Rest in Peace

The world has lost one of the most humble, giving, and amazing humans. Gary touched my life in ways that will forever stay with me. Selfless doesn’t give him justice! The world is a better place because of you Gary! Your spirit will always remain
