The family of Freea Mae Panas, of Murray, UT is saddened to announce her sudden passing at her home on March 25, 2021 at the age of 83.

Freea is survived by her loving and devoted husband Nick Panas of 64 years; 3 sons Michael (Jennifer), David, and Brandon, 3 daughters Jenny Reynolds (Dennis), Sheri Panas, and Karen Peat (Chris), 19 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren (Grandma’s Angels); siblings Garlan Ftizgarrald (Carolyn), Ike Fitzgarrald (Kathy), and numerous nephews and nieces.

Freea was preceded in death by: parents Free and Beryl Fitzgarrald, sister Larae Oram, son Russell Panas, and granddaughters Kristi Dyches and Hannah Harward.

Freea was born in Mullen Nebraska on 11/13/1937. She devoted her life and all of her love to her family and friends. She was a dedicated member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, to which she offered her time and talents. She would be found on most days sewing quilts for family, friends, and numerous humanitarian projects. She played the piano beautifully and cherished the hymns in her heart. She wore many hats and was considered the family doctor, nurse, psychiatrist, chef, and house- cleaner and had many other skills too large to list. She had a contagious smile and laugh, and one could not help but to laugh along.

Freea will be greatly and deeply missed by all that knew her. Her imprint on this earth was tremendous and will continue for generations. She stood for the truth and righteousness of the Gospel. Her love for family and friends will be a lasting example to all.

Funeral service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints 981 E Revere Circle (5555 S) Murray, Utah 84121 on April 3rd from 11:00 to 11:45 A.M. The dedications will follow at Murray City Cemetery at 5490 S Vine Street, Murray, Utah 84121.
