Frederick Scott Christensen

Jan 11, 1964 Apr 4, 2024

Beloved son, husband, father and brother, Scott Christensen completed his sojourn in mortality on April 4, 2024. He lost his four month battle to pancreatic cancer, surrounded by his wife and children at his home in Owasso, Oklahoma. He was born to Doris A. & Frederick C. Christensen in Inglewood, California on January 11, 1964. In September of 1964 Scott moved with his parents to Granger, Utah which became his boyhood home. At an early age Scott became a rabid fan of the Oakland Raiders football team. He always enjoyed both watching and participating in sports. When he reached the age when he could get a drivers license he developed a great love for cars, especially sports cars. The first car he ever owned was a '71 Porche. Scott graduated from Granger High School in 1982. In 1983 he accepted a call to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Texas Dallas Mission. In 1987 Scott married Michelle Peck. Six years later, on the 13th of October, 1993, Scott and Michelle were blessed with a baby boy, Jensen Scott. Sadly, after a brief three and one half months, Jensen passed away from SIDS. A few years later Scott and his second wife were blessed with two children, Landon Scott and Peyton Lauren. Scott had a deep and abiding love for his children and they were the light of his life. In 2007 Scott remarried. Scott and his children were thrilled to have Shannon McBride and her young son, Connor, join their family. Shannon has always been a devoted wife and wonderful mother and Scott loved her very much. She raised Scott’s children and loves them as her own. Scott possessed a great sense of humor and had a high degree of intelligence which served him well throughout his professional career. Throughout his life, Scott was very into fitness. He loved to lift weights and run. He enjoyed playing racquetball every week with his friends. He loved to watch movies and every Friday was family movie night. In 2021 Scott and Shannon moved from South Jordan, Utah to a beautiful new home in Owasso, Oklahoma where they served faithfully in their L.D.S. ward. He worked for Hostek, followed by XBYTE as Senior Enterprise Account Manger. Scott is survived by his wife Shannon, Owasso, Oklahoma, his children, Landon, South Jordan, Utah, Peyton, Murray, Utah, Connor McBride, Ogden, Utah, parents, Fred & Doris Christensen, South Jordan, Utah, brothers, Brent, Salt Lake City, Utah, Matthew, Loudonville, New York, sisters Laura Chappuis (Michael), Payson, Utah and Cheri Hart (Douglas), Herriman, Utah. A memorial service will be held on April 27'", 11:00 a.m. at the Parkway 5' Ward chapel, 3200 West 10206 South, South Jordan, Utah. There will be a visitation prior to the service from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. where you may express your condolences to Scott's family. The memorial service will be streamed on Zoom at the following link:
