Frank Wharram Stoddard peacefully passed away at his home June 23, 2021 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
He was surrounded by his children and nephew Doug Gish.
Frank was born July 4, 1930 in Salt Lake City to Frederick G. Stoddard and Beatrice Lydia Wharram Stoddard.
Frank went on a mission in 1951 for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints to Southern California, where he met his lovely wife, Lillian Gish.
Following his mission, Frank joined the United States Army in 1953 and went to Korea in the Signal Corps. He received the Good Conduct Medal, Korean Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and the United Nations Service Medal. Frank returned to California and married Lillian Gish September 4, 1956 and were sealed in the Los Angeles Temple.
Frank and Lillian had 4 children – David, Mark, Michele and Diane (his oldest preceded him in death in 2015).
Frank owned and operated a cable T.V company in Crestline, California with his two brother-in-laws Melvin Gish and Lionel Crowley. After retirement, he continued to work as a security guard – until he was 86 years old.
Frank is survived by his son Mark (Lora) Stoddard, Michele Stoddard, and Diane Stoddard Tole.
Frank will be laid to rest in the Orem Cemetery in Orem, Utah at a later date.
He was a kind, gentle man and lived a faithful life. He has now passed and has been reunited with his wife and son and family members who have waited for him.
