Felix died peacefully on December 23rd, 2023 of Congestive Heart Failure and Acute Renal failure at the home of his daughter Melissa (Brandon) Ruff in Cottonwood Heights, Utah. He passed away on the same day his beloved wife Grete R Jensen died seven years prior.

He was born on March 29th, 1936 to Vilhelm Jensen and Kriste Othelia Jensen in Copenhagen, Denmark. Felix immigrated from Denmark in 1953 to work on an uncle’s potato farm in Idaho. At the age of 18, he joined the US Air Force, serving in Lackland AFB Texas during the Korean War, and after an honorable discharge, he completed his BS in Psychology, at the University of Utah, 1963. He worked for several years as a Police Officer in Salt Lake City, then a career change to Claims Adjustor for State Farm Insurance where he remained until retirement.

Felix was an accomplished vocalist performing in Copenhagen’s Royal Children’s Choir as a soloist and the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. He was an avid runner and competed in the Salt Lake City marathon many times. He was also an expert marksman with firearms and devoted to sun worshiping, gardening, bird feeding and Fox News.

Felix is survived by his older brother Eric and younger sister Annie (Byron Strawn); his sons Kim (Krystie), Russell (Suzanne), Curtis (Bev); daughters Michelle (Eric Schanz II), Melissa (Brandon Ruff) and many grand and great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife Grete R. Jensen; brothers Bent (Christa), Holger, (Jolene) Richard (Venice); and parents Vilhelm Jensen and Kriste Othelia Jensen.

A private family only ceremony will be held in the spring where he will be interred next to his beloved Grete at Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery, Sandy, UT.
