Evlynn Robinson Scott, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully at her home in Holladay, Utah on May 7, 2024. she is now reunited with those who preceded her in death, her dear husband, parents, siblings and friends.

Evlynn was born October 17, 1928 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Evlynn was loved by all who knew her.

She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many church and community capacities during her life. She was a person who loved her Heavenly Father and his son Jesus Christ. Matthew 5:16 best describes her devotion.

"Let your light so shine before men, that they see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in Heaven."

Evlynn married Merlin H. Scott, her high school sweetheart April 29, 1946. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. Together they raised four children, Brent (Nancy (deceased), Cathy) Scott; Brad (Kathy) Scott; Shauna (Don) Winegar; Sharon Scott (Kory Holdaway).

They have 15 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren which they loved and adored! She especially enjoyed her last three great grandchildren; Dakota, Evlynn and Poppy! She felt privileged to have lived long enough to spend time with them as well. They brought her great happiness during the last few months of her life.

She grew up in a happy home in Salt Lake City with her parents, Karl and Lorna Robinson and five siblings, Ken, Bill, Garth, Cal and her beloved sister LaPreal. With family and friends, they enjoyed many fun activities together like, watermelon busts, with root beer made by her mother in the backyard of their home on Kensington Avenue.

Evlynn is survived by one brother, Calvin Robinson and his wife Nina of Fruitland, Utah.

Evlynn was highly involved in humanitarian service during her life. She organized both men and women in completing thousands of projects for donation. She also orchestrated many fundraising efforts to support her love of this work. She was affectionately named, "Queen Bee" by those she worked with.

Evlynn loved spending time at her cabin in Oakley, Utah and her dream home in Ivins, Utah. She shared those properties generously, with her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. Many wonderful memories were made in those places. Family was everything to her.

Evlynn was extremely creative. She was an amazing seamstress and sewed beautiful clothes, not only for herself, but her two daughters and grandchildren. It was common to hear her grandchildren say, "Grandma made it." She also made beautiful wedding gowns for the Silver Crest Reception center for many years.

Evlynn took up painting in her eighties while living at the Coventry Senior living center. She painted many beautiful works of art which now adorn her home as well as the homes of other family members. She continued painting even while confined to her bed until a few weeks before her passing. She had the true heart of an artist. She greatly enjoyed creating things of beauty and did so throughout her life.

The family wishes to thank the many people from Hospice along with her wonderful caregivers Chelsea, Donna and Rylee who have been actively involved in the last eight months of her life. They have become dear friends!

Evlynn will be missed by all who knew her, but most of all by her loving family. Until we meet again, dear mother, know that you are deeply loved by all of us.

She has requested that in lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Utah Food Bank, or other charity of your choice to carry on her legacy of service to others.
