Riverton, Utah -

Errol Glade Bodily passed away peacefully at home in Riverton, Utah on January 14, 2024 at the age of 82. He was born in the home hand-built by his dad and grandpa in Vernal, Utah. His parents were Reed Fisher Bodily and Olen Hunting Bodily. Errol would always say that the smartest person he ever knew was his dad, and the hardest working person he ever knew was his mom. Errol had ten siblings and he considered his brothers and sisters to be his best friends.

After graduating from Uintah High School, he worked in the oil fields to earn money to attend college. He was only able to attend school for a short time. Afterward, he apprenticed with his brother-in-law to learn sign painting. He eventually went to work for Galaxy Outdoor advertising for 17 years, working in management much of his time there. After leaving Galaxy, he entered into a partnership with his friend Dave and contracted with 3M National Advertising for many years painting billboards. Later in his career, he went to work for Young Electric Sign Company as a designer, working on many world-renowned projects

Errol met Janice Matheson on a blind date in 1962. He married his sweetheart, on September 6, 1963. They raised 7 children together, and were married nearly 30 years. Janice passed away January 13, 1993 of cancer. He started a new journey with Carol Zufelt Hansen June 16, 1993. Carol and Errol stayed by one another's side until her death March 15, 2019.

Errol loved mathematics, reading and philosophy. He had a life-long love of learning. He valued books. He wanted to travel, but wasn’t able to do so as often as he would have loved. He had very few close friends, but loved them like brothers.

He is survived by his children and step-children and their spouses: Patricia Bodily, Robert Bodily (Natividad), Suzanne Moon (Garry), Rosemary Cressall (Clint), Angelique Hutnak, Rusty Hansen (Amy), Kristian Hansen (Kelli), Kathryn Morris (Nathan), and Christopher Bodily (Chelsea), and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was also survived by his siblings: Vadrus Roberts (Lowell), Kent Bodily (Nancy), and Sharon Schaefermeyer (William).
