Emma Carol Call, 18, ended her mortal journey June 7, 2021 in her hometown Heber City, Utah. She was born April 15, 2003 in Provo, Utah to John and Terri Call. Emma was the youngest of four children. Emma grew up in Heber City, Utah surrounded by a loving family, friends, teachers, and loving church leaders whom she loved.

Emma brought a great light and spirit to all those around her and had a great ability to lift the spirits of others by helping them laugh and smile. She loved to include everyone and seeked to befriend those around her. She loved her family, friends, and dog, Charley. She always had a smile on her face and had a laugh that was contagious to all. She absolutely loved life and all that came with it. Her personality and laugh were infectious.

Emma graduated from Wasatch High School on May 20, 2021. She participated on the track team her Sophomore through Senior year, where she competed in shot put and discus.

Emma was scheduled to begin college at Snow College in Ephraim, Utah in August of 2021.

Her favorite class in high school was photography. She loved going to the mountains with her friends to photograph nature and her friends with landscape backgrounds, wildlife and animals.

Emma was very artistic. In addition to photography, Emma spent a lot of her free time painting and drawing. She discovered sewing when she was younger and loved to create things with her sewing machine.

Emma had so many friends with whom she spent countless hours hanging out with in her basement singing and dancing...mostly goofing. She and her friends loved to share time around campfires, hammocking up in the mountains, going to the lake enjoy the scenery. One of Emma’s favorite things to do was, boating with her family and friends. She loved wakeboarding and tubing around Deer Creek Reservoir and the family cabin in Island Park, Idaho.

Emma loved animals and dreamed of one day working with animals as a career or living somewhere that she could have animals. She loved being with her friends and family. She had a constant light and contagious smile which allowed her to touch those around her. One of Emma’s best friends was her St. Bernard, Charley.

Emma was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints serving in callings in the Young Women’s Group. Emma was a social butterfly and brought joy to those who knew her. She loved girls camp and Young Women’s activities. She loved her Young Women’s leaders and spoke highly of them often. Many of her friends and leaders have said that she was the life of the party and had an infectious personality that could light up the room.

Emma will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Our family and community has lost an amazing young woman. Emma, you were a great example and inspiration in our lives, and we are forever grateful for the experiences and memories we’ve had with you. Until we meet again, rest in peace.

Emma is survived by her parents John and Terri (Baxter) Call, Isaac Call (brother), Spencer Call (brother), Hannah Call (sister/best friend) and leaves behind too many friends to name or count.
