Elvira (Kathy) Stabler

Jul 21, 1949 Jun 28, 2025

Elvira (Kathy) Stabler passed away peacefully into that good night on June 28th 2025 with a light heart.

Kathy met Kenny as a young girl in Panama and a 52-year marriage took them on a journey that would become their lives, and from that four children were born. As a young military wife coming to the United States in the epitome of migration, Kathy not only learned to speak English, she graduated college and had a successful 30-year career in the beauty industry. Anyone who truly knew her knew how important it was for her to always look her best, and everyone who ever met her always remarked how truly beautiful she was inside and out. Even more remarkable than that, is how she made others feel by her warmth, kindness and acceptance of all. There were many family trips and journeys throughout the years and her spirit for adventure was always omnipresent. Her love of history and everything old guided her way. She also loved her heritage and her culture. Family, food and Spanish music was a perfect evening for her! Dancing and singing while cooking with her family and friends warmed her heart. Most importantly to her was her family. Kenny was the love of her life and her children were her world. She embodied a true type of old fashioned grace that made her infectious to be near.

It's hard to encapsulate her lifetime in such few words, but her legacy will reverberate throughout time. As Earl Spencer said at Princess Diana's funeral, “ We are united not only in our desire to pay our respects, but rather in our need to do so”.

She will be forever missed but not forgotten…
