I never knew him well as we lived in different states, but I knew him as my uncle Sonny not Elmer or Pete. He was my mother’s brother and my uncle, I always in awe as a child of his beard, of his biker jacket and his smile. I will remember you for that and your generosity to my girl. RIP uncle Sonny and enjoy the reunion with the rest of the Peterson family. Cathy Jo

RIP Pete. You didn't share many words with me during your lifetime. Maybe you were saving them to be the most important ones. I'm ever grateful for your last written words to me: "This disease [COVID] is horrible. Wear your mask."

Elmer was my cousin and buddy from birth. We grew up together only 10 months between us. We grew up not living just steps from my house to his. I have so many fond memories of our childhood. Always in trouble for little things we could muster up. I will miss you very much.

My grandma Judy East, was friends with Pete. I remember visiting him often and he was always very nice to me. I looked up to him, like a grandpa. Fond childhood memories. It’s been maybe 30years since I’ve seen him, and I don’t remember a whole about him, but I do remember his kind spirit, that had an impact on my life as a child. Glad to know he passed peacefully. Until we meet again, Pete.

My dad would come over on my days off and we’d enjoy a cup of coffee. I really miss our coffee time. I now realize just how close we really were. ❤️
