Brigham City - Ella Mae Stoker Hansen, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, returned to her Father in Heaven, and Husband on May 1, 2023. She was born on March 19, 1933, to Oscar Hurst Hall and Nida Mary Adamson, in Highland, Utah, and was the seventh child in a family of 11 children.

She married her first love, Joseph Howell Stoker, on March 14, 1952, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Joseph died at the age of 64 and she married James Hansen in 2001. He passed away in 2007. She graduated from American Fork High School and attended BYU until her marriage to Joe.

She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings. She was also a temple worker in the Ogden and Brigham City Temples for many years. She was a member of the Box Elder County Symphonic Choir, Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, and the Brigham City Ladies Community Club. After being nominated for the Mother of the Year Award by the Brigham City Ladies Community Club and the Civic Improvement Club, she was selected as the Brigham City Mother of the Year in 2013.

Ella Mae had many interests: she was a great artist and loved painting for the family. She was an active gardener with a beautiful garden, fruit trees, and flowers. She loved to sing with the Box Elder Symphonic Choir and was an accomplished genealogist.

Her greatest accomplishment was her family. She bore 11 children, nine of which survived. She is survived by her son, Joseph Michael and Rosemarie of Colorado Springs, CO; son, Ronald Lynn and Melanie of Spanish Fork, UT; daughter, Christine and Jedd Davis of South Jordan, UT; son, Bryan Russell and Nancy of Magna, UT; son, Kevin Wade and Stacey of Highland, Utah; son, Kenneth David and Shellie of Plain Field, IN; son, Grant Robert and Jennifer of Syracuse, UT; daughter, April and Lee Kirk of Provo UT; and daughter, Jennifer Mae and Daniel Hope of Brigham City, UT; foster daughter, Lorraine Naljahih and Frank Archuleta of Hogback, New Mexico and two brothers: Robert Kay Hall and Keith Hurst Hall. She is survived by 39 grandchildren and 78 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and four sisters, two husbands, two infant children, two grandchildren, and a grandson-in-law.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at the Brigham City 20th Ward Chapel, 650 North Anderson Drive. Friends may call on Friday, May 12th from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 205 S. 100 East, Brigham City, or Saturday, May 13th from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. at the Brigham City 20th Ward Chapel. The interment will be in the Brigham City Cemetery.
