Jean was able to live in her won home until her recent illness, having never been hospitalized (except for childbirth) before then.

She was a 50+ year resident of West Jordan, and a faithful member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses which she and Ken joined in the early 1960s. They enjoyed a trip to Europe in the 1980s.
