Elizabeth Faye Laub

Ivins, Utah

Elizabeth Faye Laub, age 80, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother passed away peacefully on August 24th, 2026 surrounded by family.

Faye was born on June 5th, 1946, in Denison, Texas to Idona Burke Dutton and Howard Adkins. Faye was the oldest of five children. Her siblings were Sharon, Sally, John and Terry. She spent her childhood relocating all over the United States.

At the young age of sixteen, Faye was married to her first husband. With whom she had four children, Kay-Dee, Vance, Vince & Keri. Although Faye was strong-headed and believed in being married for better or for worse, the marriage ended in divorce and Faye spent the majority of her life raising her children as a single mother.

At age thirty-five, Faye enlisted in the United States Air Force as a civil engineer. Although she sustained an injury fairly early on into her military career, she was able to stay enrolled for almost her full enlistment period – a total of four years. The highlight of her military career was getting to travel to Crete, Greece.

After she was medically released from the military, Faye worked mainly in Restaurant Management. It wasn’t until she met her husband, Clark, and married him in 1999 that she began working in the Pilot Car industry which gave her opportunity to travel again.

Later in life, Faye found her calling by becoming an advocate for fellow veterans. She spent years working with the Patriot Guard Riders and helped many retired veterans navigate how to receive their entitled benefits.

Faye was a seasoned grandmother and great-grandmother. At the time of her death, she had twelve grandchildren and twenty-eight great-grandchildren with whom she lovingly referred to as “Little Shits”.

Faye was a very determined woman. She didn’t let unfavorable circumstances hold her down or keep her from pushing forward. Faye was never afraid to be exactly who she was and always took the opportunity to let people know how she felt.

We will cherish the time we had with her and will honor her memory each and every day. Our family would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Southern Utah Veterans Home. Faye truly loved every day she spent there. She was surrounded by the many friends she made with the other residents, as well as the staff and nurses. It brings us so much peace to know that she found so many who loved and cherished her.

In celebration of her life, a viewing will be held on September 4th, 2026 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Spilsbury Mortuary, 110 South Bluff Street, St. George, UT. The following day, September 5th, 2026 her Graveside service will take place in Minersville, Utah at the Minersville Cemetery at 11:00am.
