Elaine Leavitt passed away on January 27, 2022, at the age of 92, in Kearns, Utah.

Elaine was born on March 4, 1929, in Lava Hot Springs, Idaho, to David Parris & Gertrude Denton.

She married Blaine Leavitt on December 24, 1946, but later divorced.

Elaine sang in a band “Country Western” with her dad and others when she was young. In later years she sang in ward choirs. She took voice lessons from Linda Rollins and participated in many recitals, singing solos in the recitals. Her kids and grandkids came to the recitals.

She is survived by sons and daughters; Terry, Laurel, Kaven, Karen, Dennis, Leslie, Jeff and Foster children David and Lynn Butterfield.

She had 16 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents David Parris and Gertrude Denton, her brother ValDean Parris, and her sister, Omlee Parris (Green).

In her last years, she was cared for by her daughter, Leslie Vigil, and grandsons, Robert Wysocki and Justin Vigil.

The family would like to thank the Hospice staff, Sarah was the case manager, Kenna was the registered nurse and Cindy was the CNA. They were all so kind and caring to Elaine and her family.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at 12:00 PM and a viewing from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Kearns 21st Ward Chapel located at 5700 South 4270 West in Kearns, Utah. Interment at Memorial Redwood Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Road in West Jordan, Utah.
