Ted was born Edward Albert Knowles. He had one sister. He worked hard and after high school he joined the police force in which he had a long and successful career.

He lived with his partner in life, Terri Abernethy. He shared a very close relationship with his son, Donald.

He is survived by his twin boys, daughter, two wonderful friends (Dave and Larry), as well as his grandson, Dallas.
